Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use HAMAR®.
Last reviewed 11 October 2026. Applies to hamar.io and the HAMAR® web app.
What we aim for
HAMAR® is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. In practice that means you should be able to: use every page with a keyboard alone; zoom to 200% without losing content; read everything with a screen reader, with form fields and buttons properly labelled; and tell state apart without relying on colour. We use your device’s own system font so text renders the way you are used to.
What we know is not right yet
- PDF quotes and invoices generated by HAMAR® are not yet tagged for screen readers. The same information is always available on the web version of the document, which is.
- Some older pages inside the app still use a serif heading style with lower contrast on dark backgrounds. These are being brought in line with the rest of the site.
- Charts on the dashboard have text summaries, but not every figure is yet exposed to assistive technology in a table.
Tell us
If anything is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email hello@hamar.io. We reply within two working days and fix what we can quickly. If we cannot fix it quickly, we will tell you what we will do and when.
Enforcement
If you are not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which handles complaints about the Equality Act 2010 in England, Scotland and Wales.
How we test
Every release is checked with keyboard-only navigation and a screen reader on the main journeys: signing up, creating a quote, sending an invoice, logging an expense, and sending a quarterly update to HMRC. Automated checks run on each build. This statement is reviewed whenever the app changes materially and at least every six months.
